Dave is a Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter from South London. A multi-instrumentalist
who has been involved in a range of diverse musical activities from an early age, including playing guitar in a West End production of Maggie May (Royalty
Theatre), playing bass and guitar with Clem Curtis and the Foundations ('Build me up
Buttercup') and even playing organ at his local church at Christmas. As an experienced session musician he has performed in both rock and jazz bands, including sessions for Aegean (George Michael) and ESPN among others. He also writes and records his own material and songs for other artists including collaborations with Mike Edwards (Jesus Jones).
As a guitarist and singer, Dave has played all over the UK and across Europe. Dave's exceptional guitar playing has been likened to Prince meets Jimi Hendrix meets George Benson - very funky and raw. He also has a very soulful and sexy voice, which lends itself very nicely to Groovestar's varied repertoire.
